"On Broken Wings" Updates

"On Broken Wings" is nearly complete.
The final mixes have been mastered & sound wonderful.
The graphics for the booklet are done & the proofs have been approved.
The CDs will be ready in time & will be made available at the concert on October 18.
On-line release should ensue a few weeks after that.
Since we've been working exclusively on the new CD, all other
new material has been put on hold. During the recording process,
we've been quietly replacing the original monthly offering mixes
from the CD with the final mixes as tracks get completed.
This month, we've decided to call attention to the updated mixes
of the new CD of some of the offerings we've shared in the past.
If you've heard them before, they sound a bit different now.
If you haven't, this is an opportunity to get a nice preview of the CD. :-)

"On Broken Wings"
Meredith's, Kirsten's & Edward's background vocals have been added
and/or redone. The entire vocal mix has been redone, with many
arrangements & colors added. The instrumentation has changed also
with number of smooth background layers added to the original arrangement.
The mastering of this track has also brought out the subtle sonic layers.
In a nutshell, this delicate yet soaring piece of music has finally reached
fruition & is sounding the way Jim & Edward envisioned it.
"The Mirror"
The mix for this epic piece remains essentially the same.
However, the mastering has brought out many of the details & layers
of the dense musical arrangement, especially some of the stereo
swirling organs & synthesizers, in addition to adding more
clarity to the vocal mix. For those of you who have heard
this track on "CPR Volume 3", we would opine that the
version found on "On Broken Wings" is the "definitive remaster".
