"On Broken Wings" Updates

"On Broken Wings" is nearly complete.
The final mixes have been mastered & sound wonderful.
The graphics for the booklet are done & the proofs have been approved.
The CDs will be ready in time & will be made available at the concert on October 18.
On-line release should ensue a few weeks after that.
Since we've been working exclusively on the new CD, all other
new material has been put on hold. During the recording process,
we've been quietly replacing the original monthly offering mixes
from the CD with the final mixes as tracks get completed.
This month, we've decided to call attention to the updated mixes
of the new CD of some of the offerings we've shared in the past.
If you've heard them before, they sound a bit different now.
If you haven't, this is an opportunity to get a nice preview of the CD. :-)

"Bells For Glory"
The lead vocals for this one have been completely redone,
acoustic guitars & tambourine have been added,
& the mix has been brightened up considerably.
The vocals in particular are far more "up front" & intelligible in the mix.
"When The Labor's Done"
Meredith's & Kirsten's background vocals have been added since
this was first posted nearly a year ago, just before Pastor Jim was
diagnosed with cancer. This was the last song Jim recorded.
We've received a lot of positive feedback on this song over the past
year. Originally slated for Jim's solo album "Songs From The Father",
Jim & I since decided that it fits well in "On Broken Wings",
with its "Songs of Healing" theme.
