One of the real blessings of this "monthly offering" idea is that we've been able to share not only our music, but our friends' music too. This month it's a pleasure to present a song EJ had the privilege of playing on. When my buddy Bryan from "sunny Los Angeles" asked me to play on his wife Alexandra's beautiful Christmas song, I asked if I could share it here this month & they generously agreed. I'll get out of the way now & let Alexandra speak:
Completion of the studio recording has been quite a journey and I have so many people to thank. First, I am so grateful to God for continuing to inspire me. The music would be impossible without His guidance. Secondly, I'm blessed to share my music and spirituality with my wonderful husband, Bryan, who is my producer, musical director, drummer/percussionist, arranger and all around sounding board for this music project. We're a team and I'm so thankful for all that he has done to make this happen. Lastly, my family has been an amazing source of support and encouragement. I couldn't ask for more.
Thank you Ed for lending your musical talent to "A Child is Born". The song just wouldn't be the same without your gifted piano tracks! It's the first cross-country music collaboration I've ever been involved with and I couldn't be happier. What an honor it is to have my song posted on your web site.
I dedicate this song to my sweet Uncle Tommy who left this world far too soon and who fought a valiant fight while here on this earth. I know he can hear the song amongst the angels in heaven.
Wishing peace and blessings to all this Christmas and may joy abound in 2009.
